Murray had a little lamb.
This weekend was my favorite.
Between being a newborn mommy and all.the.snow this winter, we haven't gotten out much. I honestly haven't had many reasons to change out of my yoga pants and I am so grateful to my beautiful friends for giving me this day to look forward to. They threw me the most beautiful celebration introducing Griffin to my world of friends and family. The theme was perfection, the decor was truly impressive and the food and drinks were delish. But above all that, the time with friends was just what I needed. I couldn't have dreamt up a more perfect day.
Let's talk about this theme! When I was first engaged to Jason, I wasn't sure if I loved the sound of my soon-to-be new last name. I didn't think it really "went with" my first name .. BUT I soon realized it was actually the best last name ever and actually goes with EVERYTHING. It all started with our wedding theme -- Eat Drink & Be Murray. Then it was We Wish You a MURRAY Christmas. Hosting a brunch? Great, I'll serve MURRmosas. I mean it really goes on and on ... So, enter the sip and see theme "Murray Had a Little Lamb." I mean. How perfect. If you have a kid who watches Sesame Street, you've probably heard the character Murray's rendition of the classic nursery rhyme and after hearing it years ago, my friend Julee saved the idea for a future baby celebration. Because it was just too good not to use.
Each person had their own little projects that came together to create this soiree & I just feel so very lucky to have these girls - and everyone that attended - in my life... Griffin has such a terrific tribe of "aunties" in his corner!
And to top off a perfect day ... I got to sneak out for a girl's night! We drank and ate and danced. My heart (and glass of wine) was full to say the least.
Thank you to Julee, Kendra, Jess & Em for throwing such a happy celebration and to all the friends and family that came to snuggle Griffin and shower him with so much love (and gifts!). We love you all.
ever yours,
lindsey
